Position Summary

This is a unique and exciting full or part-time two-year clinical position that is part of a HRSA NEPQR Grant (PI: Victoria Soltis-Jarrett, Ph.D., PMHNP-BC, FAANP). The position on the grant is for up to 2 years with the option of expanding the role in the School of Nursing in teaching and/or continuing in a clinical practice contract. The School of Nursing has a collaborative project with the agency to develop, implement and evaluate team-based behavioral health integration. This position provides patient care services and therefore, requires clinical experience and Board Certification as a PMHNP. The potential for teaching graduate and possibly undergraduate students in the clinical setting, is negotiable, and depends upon the candidate’s experience and willingness to expand this role.

Educational Requirements

Master’s, DNP or PhD degree in nursing. Earned doctorate preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by ANCC; eligibility for licensure as an RN and approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina; at least 2 years of clinical experience required. Teaching experience preferred. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
