The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing, a research intensive, top ranked school of nursing, seeks outstanding candidates for tenured/tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor level are expected to demonstrate sustained research productivity. Applicants at the Assistant Professor level are expected to demonstrate strong evidence of research potential. The School of Nursing and the University value interdisciplinary collaboration and we are particularly interested in recruiting faculty whose program of research incorporates interdisciplinary linkages and innovative research designs involving one or more of the following areas: symptom science, self/family-management, biobehavioral research and biological sciences including “omics.”
Given the university’s and school’s mission and composition, candidates must demonstrate competency and commitment to inclusive excellence by providing a track record in mentoring, inspiring, teaching and working in ethnically diverse settings or who have a record of research that supports/benefits diverse communities at a level appropriate to career stage.
PhD or equivalent research doctorate

An established competitive program of research for an Associate or Full Professor appointment, strong evidence of research potential to develop a competitive program of research for an Assistant Professor rank, sustained productivity appropriate for career stage, and demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary collaboration.
