Position Summary

The laboratory studies fundamental aspects of cell cycle control with a focus on the organization of the human cell cycle, regulation of cell cycle transitions, and genome stability. For more information: https://sites.google.com/site/cooklabgroup/home/. Single cell approaches using live and fixed cell imaging, biochemical assays of protein-protein and protein-chromatin interactions, and molecular analyses of protein post-translational modification and stability are employed in the lab. The team is diverse and collegial, and the supervisor is committed to effective mentoring. This specific postdoctoral position is part of a collaborative project with the Purvis lab in the Department of Genetics using quantitative live cell imaging analysis to probe cell cycle transitions. The project involves fluorescent reporter design and validation, genome engineering, microscopy, and (in collaboration) computational modeling.
