Position Summary

The Director of Annual Giving, Loyalty Fund will be a key member the Medical Foundation of NC, Inc. working to expand the successful Medical Education and Alumni Affairs fundraising program to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and donors at the major gift level of $50k and more for the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care. The Director of Annual Giving, Loyalty Fund will report to the Director of Development for Medical Education and Alumni Affairs and work to enhance the Medical Alumni Loyalty Fund ensure a cycle of loyal alumni giving to advance the UNC School of Medicine.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.

Qualifications and Experience

Three-five years of progressive annual giving fundraising experience; major giving and planned giving experience encouraged. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and judgment. Ability to interact effectively in comprehensive environment such as a research university setting with donors, faculty, staff and volunteers. Exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and performance as evidenced by integrity, initiative, collaborative teamwork, critical thinking, accuracy, consistency, timeliness and attention to detail.
Academic medical center, medical school, and/or higher education experience. Proficiency in BlackBaud CRM, iModules, Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Social Media. Experience using wealth screening tools.
