Description of Work

This is a research coordinator position working on an industry-sponsored study that enrolls a large number of subjects/week from the OB clinic at UNC. The research coordinator would screen for potential subjects in Epic, recruit them at their prenatal visit, obtain consent and then see them up to 2 additional times during the pregnancy. This includes interactions with the patients and all the clinic staff and providers, medical record review, data entry, chart copying, appointment scheduling. It is a fast paced job that requires great people skills and organization as well as independence. The data abstraction is not detailed but the person in this position must keep up with subject payment requests, subject survey completion (via database) and monthly monitoring visits. Blood sampling and processing are necessary at each subject visit (up to 3 times/pregnancy).

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Experience in research or in a clinic setting required. Phlebotomy experience required.
